Introduction

The 1st Conference on Recent Issues in GLP Regulated Bioanalysis - the only event of this kind in the Asia Pacific Region - was a 2-day full immersion conference for all the companies involved in providing bioanalytical data for comparability, bioavailability (BA), bioequivalence (BE) and pharmacokinetic (PK) preclinical & clinical studies.

This conference was an open forum for discussions based on the genuine interests of all the attendees in improving and increasing the quality of data with the help and suggestions from the regulatory agencies' experts.
High Quality, better compliance to regulations and scientific excellence were its foundations.

The invited speakers were a balanced blend of worldwide well-known international experts from Regulatory Agencies, Pharmaceutical Companies, and Contract Research Organizations.

The Pre-Conference Short Course: "Tutorial in Regulated Bioanalysis: Bioanalytical Method Validation (BMV) and Sample Analysis for Chromatographic and Ligand Binding Assays (LBA)" (Jan. 11) was specifically designed to prepare the attendees to fully benefit from this event.

The Post-Conference Site Visits (Jan 14) provided opportunities to get to know three different local bioanalytical laboratories (SFDA lab, Academia lab and CRO lab). A tour to the Expo China Pavilion, Yu Garden, Oriental Pearl Tower and Huangpu River Cruise along the Bund was also included.

Summing up, the 1st GLP Regulated Bioanalysis Conference - Asia Pacific, like the previous ones in Montreal, Canada, brought together an exceptional group of regulators and experts to discuss the most up-to-date regulatory and scientific issues in Regulated Bioanalysis.
