About This Course
Course Duration: 2-day full-immersion course
Course Objective: To familiarize with LC-MS/MS technique and operations; to gain knowledge of instrument optimization to achieve the best sensitivity; and to learn how to apply the knowledge in practice.
Course Purpose: This course first teaches the fundamental principles of Liquid Chromatography Tandem Mass Spectrometry to better understand the practical use and huge potentials of this important analytical technique, then thoroughly discuss the main strategies for the optimization of LC-MS/MS instruments to achieve the best sensitivity in any condition and with any molecule. All types of LC-MS/MS interfaces and mass analyzers, and their current applications are reviewed in this course.
The format of the course is highly interactive. This means that the lessons are designed to generate questions and/or debates with exercises, interpretation examples, and case studies that are discussed in small groups.
Each lesson is customized according to the attendees' learning needs, backgrounds, field of applications, and topics of interests.
The attendees who will successfully complete this course will be ready to run and optimize LC-MS/MS instruments and to choose which instrument to buy/use for their specific applications.
Who Should Attend: This course will be of value to all scientists, researchers, laboratory managers, technicians, students, marketing and sales professionals who work or are involved in the LC-MS field.
This course has been also designed for all the LC-MS/MS Users; LC-MS/MS Operators; HPLC, GC and GC-MS experts interested in efficiently using LC-MS/MS; analytical chemists and university students who are willing to learn more about LC-MS/MS.
No prerequisites are needed for attending this course. However, a basic background in analytical chemistry would facilitate the understanding of some lectures.
Due to the nature of the course, which involves continuous instructor-student interaction & interactive didactic approach, the number of participants is limited to only 20.
Training Record: An official "Certificate of Course Completion" will be awarded to the course attendees.
